Den engelske paketbåd Thetis var på vej fra Gøteborg til London med posten fra 2. oktober 1821, men strandede 7. oktober ved Vorupør.
Mandskabet og postsækken reddedes og sækken bragtes med Thisted agepost til Viborg.
- Ved Vorupøer i Thisted Amt er nylig strandet en engelsk Paketbaad fra Gothenborg til London - Jydske Efterretninger 18. okt. 1821
