Det engelske skib William med skipper John Watson betalte 23. november 1803 sundtold for 346 skippund stangjern, 39 skok skudeplanker og 143 diler på vej fra Sankt Petersborg til hjemstedet London, men strandede under nordøstlig snestorm 30. november på de yderste af Læsø Udgrunde og blev vrag.
